The Darlington Aged Care Home is overlooked by Mt Warning and is situated just south of Terranora Creek, with inspiration drawn from the surrounding eastern slopes of the Great Dividing Range and Tweed River catchment.

The landscape design incorporates vertical planting, pocketed and intimate green spaces, and a reference to a tranquil gorge-like landscape. Signature rainforest trees celebrate arrival and extensive consideration has been given to shade and comfort of the residents.
