Jubilee Place reacts to our new post-covid world and highlights the role that well designed spaces can play in creating healthy and enjoyable workplace environments. It emphasises the significance of biophilia and ART (Attention Restoration Therapy) as critical emerging benchmarks in sustainable Australian public realm and office design.
The landscape concept was derived from research highlighting the social benefits of biophilia, integrated greenery and established landscape surrounds on moods, relationships and behaviour. The landscape became a way of not only softening the built form, but also a way to increase mental health benefits for workers and visitors to the precinct.
Between the innovative architectural response to construction challenges and the historical importance of the Jubilee Hotel, Jubilee Place Is an exploration of new technologies and societal studies. The landscape moves beyond aesthetic integration of greenery and establishes a series of interconnected green spaces that are carefully designed to consider access, outlook and accessibility.
